Carnegie Memo

Eastwick Family,

I can’t tell you how excited I am on our most recent recognition. Eastwick College received from the American Council on Education in collaboration with the Carnegie Institute, the “Carnegie Opportunity University” status! This recognition identifies the institutions that provide access to students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds along with the degree to which the institution’s students go on to earn competitive wages. Only eight colleges in NJ were recognized! Eastwick was named along with Rutgers and NJIT. Quite an accomplishment!

Our sister institution, HoHoKus School of Trade was also honored with a “School of Excellence” award by the Accrediting Commission of Career Colleges and Schools. The School of Excellence Award is the highest institutional distinction awarded by the ACCSC. It celebrates accredited member institutions for their steadfast adherence to ACCSC’s rigorous accreditation standards and outstanding record of student accomplishment.

Earlier this year Eastwick Education was recognized as one of the top 5% of educators in the nation for our student “Return on Investment”. This is a measurement of 5800 colleges and schools with graduate earnings in comparison to tuition paid. Three awards in less than 7 months! We are doing something right!

Congrats to all of our students, grads and employees on these recognitions!

Finally, the Eastwick Foundation has provided more than $1,000,000 to local charities over the years and I’m especially proud of our “Feed the Hungry” program. In 2025 we are closing in on donating over $500,000 to Bergen, Passaic and Rockland food banks. I understand that calculates to over 2 million meals served!  Wow! Our foundation is the hard work of our students, grads, employees and local corporations. The Eastwick Foundation supports local charities and Eastwick Education student scholarships. Please consider helping students and people in in need at www.eastwickfoundation.org.    Â
